Mystery Wrasse in Copper Power

Anyone have success doing this? If not, should I consider another QT Method.

Seems all wrasses are sensitive to copper. Copper Power is the best one to use though being cheleted. If the wrasse isn’t sick I would ramp up over the next 4-5 days or so. I would try doing .25 in the morning and again at night until you reach your goal. I would target 1.75ppm and test with a Hanna checker daily to keep your levels right on point.

Thanks, I've been starting at 1ppm and ramping all my fish in QT by .25ppm every day. Should I start with 0 for the wrasse? Have you been successful doing this?

The wrasses I put through QT were sick and needed to reach therapeutic levels faster. You could probably safely start at .50 and then ramp up over a few days safely. One of my Halichores did show some sensitivity to 1.75ppm so I lowered it to 1.65ppm and he went back to normal.

I currently have a Mystery Wrasse in QT along with a 8 line Flasher Wrasse, Hooded Fairy Wrasse and a Yellow Banded Possum Wrasse with Copper Power. I have QT'ed several wrasse among other fish with Copper Power with 100% success. This is my second Mystery Wrasse because the first mysteriously disappeared from my display tank and yes it is covered. Before using Copper Power I had mixed results with Cupramine. I'll never use that product again. I calculate my total Copper Power need and dose 1/3 at a time every other day and I have never had a negative result. I use a Hanna Copper Checker

Currently one left in stock on Amazon. They are hard to get you should snatch it up if you don't have one. I think more than anything this will give you great success with any copper treatment because all the other test kits for copper are very difficult to read and the Hanna has been proven accurate for saltwater. I keep my copper level between 1.80 and 2.0
Good luck.
