Mystery Wrasse with clowns

I just put in two ocilaris clowns and a mystery wrasse chasing them occasionally. Is this typical? Thought wrasses only aggresive towards other wrasses? So at this point ive Turned the lights off. The bonded pair have found each other. There is a bubble anemone in the tank if they find it. I hope the wrasse is just flexing his muscle and will settle down. Any thoughts?

How big is the tank, how large is the wrasse, and how long has the wrasse been in the tank?

Its 100 gal. Wrasse is about 5 inches and hes been in the tank about 4 months

Given the size of the wrasse, it's not atypical I'm afraid. That's pretty typical behavior of a mature Pseudocheilinus wrasse. And 4 months is enough time for him to have established territory.

I have a Mystery in my 41 gallon that also contains two Maroon clowns. Now, in my case, the Maroons were there first, and Maroons are typically more aggressive clowns. I used to occasionally see a bit of chasing, usually the Mystery chasing the smaller male, or the larger female chasing away the Mystery, but now, they all seem to have developed a mutual respect for one another. My suggestion would be to feed them well, make them all fat and lazy, and eventually they'll settle down.

Unless you start to see big chunks of fin missing, I wouldn't worry about it. They'll figure it out.

^ Maroons are a lot more aggressive and capable of standing up to a mystery than ocellaris however.

The aggression might subside, but I wouldn't count on it.
