Mystery wrasse

What do you think about this fish. I have gotten allot of conflicting data. Some say it will destroy all of my clean up crew even eating huge turbo snails. Most store profiles say they are reef safe but might eat ornamental shrimp.(which I have none). Anyone with experience with these. I guess just like any fish they are hit or miss. Luck of the draw.
My brothers lfs in Canada has a tank full of them and didn't know if it was worth it

I have had one now for about 9 months. They have a reputation that falls into the six line wrasse rep. They can get mean as they get older and larger. Especially to other wrasses. I have it in my tank with 5 other wrasses, and have yet to see a problem. He has never touched a snail or my cleaner shrimp.

But like you said, its always hit or miss with animals and their particular personality, and community that you put them in. I think if you get a smaller one, they adapt pretty well.

I have one and it took him 3 days to eat my blood shrimp, never messes with my snails though.
