Recently iv noticed something stange, burst of cloud like substances from live rock form tampa bay always from the same section of a particular rock , i always thought it was tangs swiiming by and picking up detritus ( bare botttom) , and i just so happen to check the coldness of my beer, and witnessed it happen with no tang swimming by. I have some pistol shrimps and perhaps 1 crab left , and some aiptisa

Live rock from the bay? Sounds like it may be a clam or similar bivalve. I had rock from the keys years ago and it would squirt detritus like that once in awhile.. I eventually found it to be a clam burrowed into the rock.

I vote spaghetti worms. You may not see them until well after lights out. I figured it was either spawning or cleaning their home type of thing.
