I forgot to wash my dry sand and now I have the worst cloudy water. Does anyone know how to remove it like any filtration to get it out I've been trying for about a week now! I'm running a canister filter with bio balls fine filter pad ceramic rings and activated carbon. I'm also lightly skimming but it not true skimm I don't have any fish so I just let the water run through it...

A diatom filter can certainly remove it. Some other sorts of fine mesh may be able to.

Is the rock in the tank now so that there is some place for the sand to settle in quite spots?

I just added sand to my tank too... and it was gnarly... however, I did a few things to calm it down... I got a bottle of Clarity from Seachem... Dosed my tank up with that. I also have a protein skimmer, and for a few days all it would pull was light brown "leftovers" of the aragonite sand i had just added. It was clear within 2 days though!

A piece of advice that i was told and worked for me is this... when adding sand to a tank with water already in it, get a big PVC pipe that is long enough to be on the bottom of the tank, and have plenty of the top out of the water... I got a funnel and cut the tip off of it... i rested the PVC on the bottom and filled the pipe up with the sand until the water was coming out of the top... then i slowly lifted the pipe and let the sand fall into place. There will be a lot of sediment still in the pipe when youre done, but it will be localized and wont be as bad as just dumping sand into the water. hope that helped!

Thanks I took your advice here she is!!!

He likes the ocean and recently I have put an aquarium in his room. This is his thread but yes those are stickers.

Lol.
When I saw that on my phone screen earlier today I almost started feeling sorry for the backlash you were about to receive, until I focused in.

I showed my wife and shes like....um isn't that tank a little small......to funny!

Good luck with the build!

Haha yeah my dad was a little rude in the reply I guess but yeah I love the ocean and those have been there since I was like 8 now I'm 13 so they don't really come off the wall. Haha my fish when I had this tank up in the past used to interact with the fake sticker fish in the backround.
