Opinions nitrate was 5 and all 7 drops

I haven't seen that version test before and the card is out of focus so I cant read the column titles, but the right column looks like 2.50 which would possible be meq/l which is 7.0 dkh

Thanks, looks like a new version of the test kit (to me at least).

If you did a full resolution test and it took seven drops for the reaction to complete, it indicates 7dkh Alk.

That is okay (natural seawater is around 7.6).

If it's a new tank you could increase to about 8dkh if you plan on adding coral. Fish only tank you can ignore it.
