How beneficial is n and p balance? By this I mean are your corals able to use them at a steady rate easier than out of balance nutrient levels?

No, “balance” not make it easier as long as where is “enough” of both.
 
Also what the dkh effect on a rise of 10ppm no3?

When 10 ppm of nitrate is made from ammonia, alk is depleted by 0.5 dKH.

When that 10 ppm is consumed, the alk comes back.
 
This is straight nitrate not ammonia , same thing?

Doesn’t matter what it is. Different nutrients and trace elements are not taken up in tandem, but individually. As long as the available concentration is sufficient to not be growth limiting, more doesn’t make it grow faster. Only one thing is typically growth limiting for a given organism. Might be N, or P, or some other chemical such as iron.

Having no significant education in chemistry, I'll pose this as a question:
If 10 ppm of nitrate is dosed and that 10 ppm of nitrate gets consumed, that will cause +0.5 dKH alkalinity, correct?
(barring all other processes going on)
