Hmm Not sure why but getting a fine whitish precipitate when I mix them.
I am still tinkering with a phosphate and nitrate combination solution that can sit next my doser and not grow bacteria and molds/fungi in the solution. Randy suggested salt to keep unwanted microorganisms from growing. I was doing some research online and found some papers suggesting a 5% NaCl solution would work. SOOO I made a 5% by volume salt solution. I used Morton canning salt which is supposed to be pure salt. It dissolved cleanly. I added the trisodium phosphate anhydrous (.392g) into the 840ml 5% sodium chloride solution and it got a little cloudy. I then added the 3.14g sodium nitrate and didn't see any change. So looks like something in that second step is precipitating but what? Thoughts?
