It is called a xanthic scopas, a yellow scopas, it shows a lot of blue subtly, I am rubbish at fish pics, corals sit stiller!

Oh yeh, I moved the shrooms yesterday but forgot to take a pic, settling really well but I need to angle the rock back a bit to give them a bit more light.

Simon, you're using a Nikon for your pics, correct? What lens and settings are you using? I've been playing with mine (no laughing ;Hilarious), and getting way better pics than with my phone...but still not great.

Thanks, this is a high ISO of 1000, F 6.3 and 1/400, to get proper coral pics I knock the ISO down to more like 2 - 300.
Have the tip of the lens touching the glass and the camera horizontal or you will get distortion, it limits your angle of view of the subject but any angle or being not horizonal kills pictures.
Try it and see what happens and give me a shout, don't pick something too close as there is a minimum distance they will focus at.
Those were with a Nikon 40 mm macro lens.

I picked up two strawberry lip conch yesterday, people don't believe me when I say they are one of the few creatures that eat cyano!
Pic 1 you can see the line where that one has traveled along the glass and pic two's conch has basically turned in a circle and then went to sleep!

I just love conchs! I have a fighting conch and he is one of my favorite creatures in the tank.
If I had a bigger tank, I’d have a strawberry conch too.
