Yes, because it is a very fresh import they wanted to observe it and get it feeding, getting it on a rubbish frozen diet is not good for the fish, baby tangs want to graze all day and it can do that in the puddle for a few weeks, due to aggression issues I might need to re home the baby scopas!

Covid test kit ordered, antibiotics for a chest infection being picked up shortly, I feel dreadful, I have to self isolate until I get the test results.

Thanks to both, just started antibiotics in case it is a chest infection, the more I think about it I will be furious if it is covid as I am mr antibac.

About three weeks ago I saw a molt drift across the display, it was small like large sexy shrimp sized.
It took me hours to figure out what it was as my l n hawk finished my shrimps off, about two years ago I put a small black squat lobster in, never seen it from day one.

Si if I try a trio of y scopas would you add as one group?
My thoughts are if I try it would be best while I have two bigger tanks for time outs. Of course it all hinges on me having free time to give them proper care

I would add them as a trio at the same time, ideally you'd like to see at least a pic of the three of them in the same tank.
If you qt then you should do it so they can all see each other, the S scopas went mental when I added the yellow but I just gave him a two day time out in the cube whilst the yellow settled, let him back and nothing lol.
That would be a stunning looking trio of fish!

I can’t seem to find any for sale Simon, infact I’ve never seen one, are they common at your LFS ?

Anyway, I think your tank is a bit cramped for them, they really need a much bigger tank, sort of local and not to far away in a northerly direction, junction 28 to be precise!!

My lfs is Southwest Marines so most of their fish come from TMC, I guess I see 4 or 5 a year in the shop, they always but them if they are available.
If you have an lfs that deals with tmc put one on order!

... yes it did cross my mind how much they might be worth to captive breeders as a spawning pair!

Y scopas are very rare in the states. Only saw a couple in two years. I may never find them but think of determined someone will locate them.

I would house them together but not in a feed tank so I can separate if needed. Once they seem to play nice I would move them to finial home.

Yellow tangs went from 30 to over 100 USA around me. Soon they will only have captive bred yellow tangs around.

Tonight's plan is to try and sleep in a chair, I dug out an old quilt, I can't be dealing with last nights pain again.
Got my antibiotics early so will get all three in today to get it in my system.
My last dose of pain killers will be around the same time as the last antibiotics, if it gets as bad as it was last night I will get up and do something.
