Just posting because I love this fish, shes my favorite! She perches right under the food opening and waits for food! She makes me so happy, best lionfish ever.

Fish are smart! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a marine fish who didn’t know when feeding time was. And what species is that lionfish? She’s beautiful, whatever she is.

They learn to recognize us as food .
Every time we come to that same spot food appears .

Some fish will constantly go to that place without us being there almost begging for food .

I really want one but i was mistakenly sent a volitan instead. Cool fish but not as cool and will become a danger to my other fish eventually.

Those are so pretty! And yeah shes a fuzzy! She was a tiny baby when I got her!

I keep a cup on my tank that I use to defrost food and anytime I’m near the tank and grab the cup all of the fish meet in the middle of the tank where I put the food in. They’ve all learned to associate the cup with food.

Yes for sure! She loves when I put my hand in the tank for something, she comes up and swims around my hand so I gotta be careful not to bump her!

Yep thats why I have to be careful not to touch her! She seems to forget she is poisonous I think cause she constantly swims around my hand and Im like Nala I love you but Im so not petting you lol

Also not that I’d do it but a soft pet would probably not get you stung. A grab though would go badly.

Foxface is horrible!! My girl poked me with her spines when I went to move her and boy was there fire up my whole freaking arm!!! She barley broke the skin on my palm. Do not want to know what its like if she slashed me!!!

Thats what scares me about foxes. They are so jumpy and that makes them dangerous.

Shes got spikes all over. Volitans are smooth besides their fins, she has like these tiny spikes all over her body!
