The naming thing is out of hand, and just drives up pricing.
Its an awesome coral, dont get me wrong, i just hate the naming thing.

Looks like PPE has a little more "neon" in the skirts and a little lighter center of purple while the nonames have deep dark centers and a non neon skirt....juts by the way it looks to me...

I agree that they resemble each other but I wouldn't feel right selling to someone as PPE. One scenario I tell them that I'm selling PPE I ship them out, the person puts them in their tank and they don't consider them PPE...they are going to flip..

naming is for fun and a way to identifie if its a awsome morph its going to be worth somthin because of popularity and what the person decides its worth if people dont agree it dosnt sell at the price asked, weather its named red wines or red zoa if its somthin the majority wants and we think price is what we want to pay we pay it. Thats the nature of the beast not if it has a cool name.

My vote would be that if that is not PPE (which I think it is too btw...) then it's a 'Similar Morph'

while your points are valid, the whole Zoo price explosion can be traced back to the "named" zoos. Once everybody started naming them, the prices went up.. 3 years ago when I started the only zoo worth more than 1 dollar a polyp was PPE... 10$ per.. no freakin way..

How long have you had it and under what lights has it been lately? My PPE's (before I lost them...) were nearly brown centered for a long time (not as dark as those, by any means, though). I finally found the right lights and they purpled up a lot in very little time. I initially had them under 250W DE AB 10K's. SPS loved it but nothing else did (or had color).

I had them since June 06. They have been under 2x250w 14k hamiltons (Now near the end of their life), and 220 VHO. They are at the bottom because they start to fade the closer you put them to the MH.

I thought I had seen one named that....But wasn't sure....
