Problem is coral is too blue and distant in the pic.
Could be a kenyii tree or xenia or ? ?

Hard to tell which one you are referring to...

If it is the blue specimen up front could be a couple different things..

Initial reaction is blueberry gorgonian but in reality most likely blue clove polyps just hard to tell from the photo

I believe that is a blueberry sea fan, also know asa blue Gorgonia. I agree though need a closer picture for confirmation.

Haha great minds think alike ;)

Nice tank looking great! Also.... think I was right about the blueberry gorgonian

paid 100 bucks for it yesterday at my LFS. It’s call marine warehouse aquarium located in Tampa fl. They had about 15 of them. @ReeferBlaine
Typical pricing. Not too bad! Lovely piece, do they have an instagram or FB? May shoot em a PM

First gorgonian for the tank?

Due to the fact its photosynthetic it doesn't require it, but I actively dose live phyto for my Christmas tree worm rock...

That being said, all my corals/inverts benefit from the phyto! Live phyto is a great thing to have in the system. Just be careful with dosage to not overdose what can be taken in (possibly cause algae breakout).

For you I think dosing it twice a week is more than enough, if you have a long coral feeder could spot feed the fans polyps when dosing it into the tank in the first place.

Gorgonians vary from easy (easy meaning one thing) to expert level specimens!

The photosynthetic species are by far the easier of the gorgonians to raise in home aquariums, but the non photosynthetic ones can fair well with other NPS (non-photosynthetic corals) like sun corals!

Super fun stuff, check out this youtube video for some help, this guy is one of my main influences!
