Nannochloropsis to freshwater

Hi,

Does Nannochloropsis thrive in freshwater?

I have my last batch that was cultured in saltwater. I am trying to dilute out the salt to fresh water
over several days. So far it is staying green but currently still has salt in it.

My purpose is to have green water for fairy shrimp which is fresh water only.

Because you said thrive, I would guess no for that species.

There are fresh water phytoplankton. Probably has airborne spores.
