Does anyone know any nano algae eaters for a 3 foot 40 gallon tank, I can't have #tanggang so any ideas, I will have a diadema urchin btw, I heard they are AWESOME algae eaters.

I have had good luck with and Emerald Crab. They will eat algae and also bubble algae. The one I have does a good job, but don't seem to like hair algae much. A Tuxedo Urchin is a possible consideration as well. Also, determine what might be causing the algae growth. How are your water conditions? Are you doing your weekly 10%+ water changes? Lighting? There are a lot of things that can be causing the algae growth. Here is a website that may be helpful: http://www.mrsaltwatertank.com/category/algae-2/

Lasse and EagleEye make a great point. An Algae Blenny is good option. Blennies get along well with other fish and have personality a mile long. In a 40 gal, you may want to consider a Blenny and an Emerald Crab. Have Fun!!

I tried a small lawnmower blenny in my nano and unfortunately he starved after about a month despite there being plenty of GHA and nori in the tank at all times. I’ve heard they can be surprisingly picky eaters.

I have 3 mandrins and I have yet to see them eating anything other than pods and brine shrimp. The male does occasionally grab a small piece of grated shrimp. Never eats algae.

I’d like to add a blenny to my 20 gal for this reason alone but already at my limit stick wise (2 domino clowns, royal gamma & YWG that I’ll eventually have to move once it matures).
