Just a FYI post... if you don't' care about 10 gallon Brute cans, move on and I won't waste your time.

I was looking to make a water mixing station and the 5 gallon buckets weren't quite big enough. I have a 15 gallon tank, so I wanted to be able to have enough for an emergency 50% water change without having 5 gallon buckets all over. (I'm currently filling 5 gallon buckets with rejected RO water, so I already have 5 5 gallon buckets in my rotation - 2 for waste, 2 for RO, 1 for salt.

I found a "Nano" 10 gallon brute trashcan on Amazon for $20. They have 10 gallon and 20 gallon varieties. Just thought I would share in case anyone else is looking for something bigger than a 5 gallon bucket and smaller than the large brute cans. Some of the "official" water tanks out there get pretty expensive quickly.

This is probably a dumb post, but I was quite pleased with the find and it's comically small. Here is a picture next to a 5 gallon bucket. Perfect for my makeshift nano mixing station.

I just installed a spigot on the bottom of my mixing brute tonight to make it easier.

Had no clue that a mini existed. Would have purchased it years ago for normal salt mixing.

Not a dumb post at all, i had no idea these existed and just ordered one to store my RO water for my ATO. I just wanted to add, at least according to some of the Amazon reviews, that only the grey, white, and yellow ones are considered food grade plastic. I have no idea if that matters a whole lot for mixing or storing water, but something to consider.

Those might be useful for me to move water from the basement to the living room for the upstairs tanks. 50ft of hose plus the head height makes it cost more than I want for a pump, but just the head height of one flight of stairs with these would be useful.

Great stuff you got what helps you.and if it helps then it helps so all good.
Could even buy a dolly or even make something that got some wheels or casters on it so can push it to tank when do a wc.
This is what I need to do next as had few surgeries on my back and moving 50 litres of water isn't funny no more and gives Mr bad back for couple days after then few days after that it's time to do wc again lol so need buy or make something on wheels or buy 20 metres of hosing to pump it from other side of my flat ( apartment if you live in america ^_^ )

My restaurant supply store has these sizes on the shelf, and I'm in a small town, so these are probably all over other cities, just didn't know where to look, lol. Aren't they adorable though? I'm still only mixing 4g at a time so I'm small scale :)

Looking for something to hold some top off water. Going to check this out.
thanks

I use two Brutes, a 33 and a 44 Gallon. My recommendation is to get the Grey ones, as they won’t grow stuff, on the inside, as easily as the White ones. I Marked a Plastic Yard Stick with my Gallons on it. The 44 gallons usually has reject water in it. I use the water to flush Toilets, when we have our frequent power outages. I keep telling myself, I’m going to make a low pressure system for the toilets, lol.

Thanks for the heads up. I had purchased a rectangle 13 gallon trash can and that was not a good idea. It bows out when filled so there is no good way to mark it up for semi accurate measurements and I'm afraid that thing is just going to blow out on me and spill out 10 gallons of water everywhere

I just ordered one of these last night (the red one). I was so amazed that the can itself is $20 on amazon, and the dolly was $40 lol!

I bought the exact same one. Kind of regreted getting the white because I can't see the salt settle. Not a big deal but I don't think this is an issue with the other colours.
