Some news on the PSX Reef is the trial of Nano-Bubbles on the system.

My entire Reef Tank presentation on R2R is here for the ones that are interested:
https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/psxerholics-210-gallon-reef-in-reefcity-houston.235601/

I made a few short videos in HD on the test run prior the first night.
At the time of this post I have already 2 nights of Nano bubbling done.

THX to @Diesel and @Cruz_Arias from Elegant Corals , for the valuable info provided.
I did not figure it out by myself but promised I will try this method, so I got plenty of Info for the required setup, visual appearance, rating and Co2 scrubbing info.

Here are the Videos:

So far from what I see it is working at least on the size of the bubbles.

The tank looks definately nice and clean in the mornings.
Polyp extension is improved without the use of polyp extender, food etc.

Also I noticed a nice smooth ORP curve increase. That is one thing I wanted to use the nano bubbles since I felt the tank has a undesired amount of waste gases in it due to heavy stocking and deep sand bed.

I will see if ORP will raise back to around 350 average over this week.

I noticed better PE on Gorgonians as well.

Cruz Arias mentioned to me that I might need one more air-stone since one stone will cover around 75g water volume.
I would say this might be true since the tank is not that cloudy as I saw it on the videos he showed me.

Following!

Do so!
Interesting subject.

So today morning looking at the parameter, ORP further up to a new record since a while and hit the 280 mark. Normally the tank is running in the 230-240 range.
As well the ph was at 7.84 which is typically 7.8 early prior lights turn on. I can see on the ph and ORP that both curves became significantly smoother than before.

So I decided to keep this 1 wooden air stone only for now.

No bubble accumulation on corals or under rocks at all!
Seems the nano bubble size is good!

Too early to see anything on corals or overall health yet.

Skimmate becomes more gunky and stinky again?!?
Not sure if that is a good sign.

I will keep updating this thread.

By the way, I run the bubbles from 12 till 6 over the night.

What size air pump should I be using to do this?

Hi, man I'm sorry I did put this experiment on hold for now, but will restart this at some point very likely.
I just went by standard cheap from the shelf air pumps with no specs. I had to use for my tank two stones and two pumps for that.

Both pumps used Co2 scrubbed air.
