So here I am taking the plunge into a reef nano bio cube hobby tank. I sit for hours and admire the mini ocean I've created. I bought the tank used and it has a kessel 350w light, a hydro nano skimmer, a lit refugium full of chato algae and a couple other kinds and small container of marine mud, then my little pump......all on the back of this tank. I started cycling the live rock and sand the last week of January. Now it's growing 35-40 different frags of coral along with a snowflake Benny, a little gobi and pistol shrimp, a couple sexy shrimp, and a very small blue damsel. Besides a clean up crew I would like a couple more small colorful fish. Any ideas? I watch my parameters each day and when I start to detect nitrates I do a water change.....about every 2-3 weeks. I hope it will turn into a beautiful reef ecosystem over the next few months. So far no major disasters have befallen the tank. What an education one needs to be a reefer! Still reading and viewing everything that you tube and places like this can teach me. Thanks for the invite to your forum and hope to be of help and learn from all of you as I go. Glad to be a part of all this .thank you so much.
