Hey everyone- I have a 13.5 gallon saltwater aquarium. All of my corals are LPS/Softies. I have a 3 channel doser for Alkalinity, Calcium and Mag. My alkalinity has been really low (6.0-6.8) I have trended my ml per day from 1ml being dosed up to 15ml per day. That seems like too much per day but I’m not sure how else to raise my alkalinity. I’d like to stabilize it around 9. Any thoughts or suggestions ?

You could always do a big water change if your salt mixes at what you want your alk at. It’s the benefit of nanos I will occasionally do a 50% water change if I feel like my parameters get too far off

First make sure you trust your alk test, th n stop adding alk to see how much alk your tank is using in 24h.

Hard to give precise help as we don’t know what you are dosing or how many corals you have.

15ml depending on the product I’d very possible, yes it’s on the high side but not if your tank is full of coral, so possible but unlikely.

I just tested everything

ph 8.2
Phosphate -0
Nitrates 30
Ammonia 0
Calcium 400
Alkalinity 6.7

I have a total of 17 corals in my tank. I also use ESV as the product for dosing for all calcium , mag and alk

I did about a 25 -30 percent water change before testing

Numbers arent adding up. Thats a bit for a 13 gal tank.
How are you testing for alk (kit) and easiest is to dose manually as rarely do I see a 3-4 channel on less that a 50+ gallon.
What is your calcium level?
This is not a salinity issue however some salt mixes are lower on alk content. What Fritz salt Type are you using?

Calcium and Alk should go in almost at 1:1 ratio. Otherwise one will throw off the other. Magnesium regulates the balance of the Ca and Alk, so test and see if it is high enough. I keep mine at 1500 to help with filamentous algae.
