I have a nuvo 20 with a pair of clowns and a orange spotted goby. I want one more fish. I was thinking about a.orchid dottyback any recommendations?

I wouldn't do the dotty back they can become serial killers...... Get a Gold assessor or Royal Gramma.

If you are willing to risk the orange spotted goby, get a pistol shrimp goby pair. I would get a yasha goby

I would add a purple firefish.

Pink Streaked Wrasse. The problem with many nanofish is that they are super timid and will spend a lot of time in hiding. Once the Pink Streaked gets comfortable that will NOT be a problem with them and you won't have to deal with a fish that is aggressive. I have yet to see a report of a pink streaked wrasse being aggressive (other than to another Pink Streaked Wrasse). Firefish are beautiful but super skittish. My Purple spent so much time hiding, I will never get another one. Here are a couple of pink streaked wrasses:

All of the fish mentioned are known jumpers, as are the ones already in your tank, you should really have a top of some kind.

I have the same sized tank and I just love my Yellow Assessor and my Randall’s Assessor. They stay small (3-3.5 inches or so is max size) generally peaceful, and swim every which way including upside down (super fun and interesting to watch)...in fact my yellow guy swims upside down almost 100% of the time. They are brightly colored and are both almost always out and about, and enjoy the caves and rock work in my tank....you can get captive bred ones from ORA (which is where both of mine are from) I’d highly recommend looking into one of them over a dotyback. I had one of those in a previous tank and it was the devil reincarnated.

ORA Assessors are awesome! I have a Randall's and he/she is hanging out front with my flashers. Another great nano fish is an ORA neon goby, one of the best "cleaners" with a big personality. Wetmorella wrasses are great and the pink-streaked too. Regardless, get a top (screen lid), all fish jump. Good luck!

I’ve only had her for about 2 weeks but I love my geometric Pygmy hawkfish in my 10 gallon. She spends a ton of time perched on rocks and sand at the front of the tank and flutters/hovers around when we feed. While she doesn’t swim much except when food is in the tank she isn’t shy at all and is a beautiful color and totally adorable. But get a top because I’ve read they are jumpers.

I personally love my yellow head jawfish. I picked up a mated pair. The male was active from the start while the female did hide for a few days. Now they both often share the same burrow and will always be hanging out just outside their burrow or swimming around checking things out. The male and my BlackHawk X clown once had a disagreement as to who could move the most substrate. Was pretty funny to watch.

Flame angel or coral beauty

My vote would be for a Royal Gramma or a Flasher Wrasse, both great additions, the wrasse will be more active of the two and have great personalities. the Gramma will be in the rock work more often but also have a great personality!
