Hey guys, I have my 15 gallon nano rock nem dominant tank. I was just going to do some clowns for movement. But I really miss my cardinals! I was wondering if I could do a mated pair of Bangganis in the 15 instead as they just kinda float

Yes, although banggai can get up to around 3-3.5" in size relatively quickly - so I'd either opt for the banggai or clownfish (not both). Gobies, basslets and dottybacks are some other small fish that would work.
Oh for sure, I was going to either do a pair of clowns or a pair of cardinals. Ive got two clown pairs in both of my bigger tanks so Im thinking putting the cardinals in there! Plus probably a better chance to raise their babies !

I just wanted to make sure the cardinals would be okay with the space cause of their adult size but they also like dont swim as much as other fish, in fact my clownfish swim way more than I ever saw the pair I had before velvet took them

I think you'd be fine. I had a single pajama cardinal in a 12-gallon for 6-8 months and transferred him into a 25-gallon for a year. He's now full grown at around 3" in his present 160-gallon home (along with 3 other cardinals).
