Hi, I'm new to R2R. A little about myself; I'm an illustration artist and a licensed tattoo artist. I have been in the reefing hobby for about 10+ yrs and actually kept a 14gal biocube for a year before an accident (mother-in-law) happened.
Several years later, I began reefing again, but was curious about a pico setup. So, I gathered most of my materials from my old 14gal setup... I washed out my (dead) sand, cleansed out my (dead) live rock and placed it all in a 2.5 gal. This was done early November. I have 2 filters running; an Aquaclear 20 & a ZooMed TCN-30 501 (For 10gal). I modded the Aquaclear to act as a mini fuge, but have yet to add Chaeto to that tiny chamber... Currently there is a piece of lava rock, live rock rubble and biomax bag. The flow seems fine.
My live stock are as follows: Green Star Polyp (frag), Yellow Goby, Kenya tree (frag), 4 blue leg, hermit crabs, 1 bumblebee snail, 2 speckled, mushrooms (frag), Palm tree polyps (frag) & Trumpet polyp (frag).
My parameters are: Phosphate- 0.5, Nitrite- 0, Nitrate- 0, Calcium- 540ppm, KH- 196.9, PH- 8.0, salt grav-1.028, temp- 77.6 as of Friday.
