Hi All,

I have a 15 gallon aio and I’m struggling with where to keep my phosphates. I am trying to keep my levels below .1ppm. At one point my levels were .5ppm and my lfs said this was fine? Regardless I aim for .08ppm and keep bottoming out with phosguard and triggering Dino’s.

Appreciate feedback, this is a soft tank with some LPS. I have been using Hanna and should be receiving the ultra low reader today as the regular phosphate reader is not accurate enough. Tank is 8 months old.

Personally I think .1 is fine, even higher will be fine for that kind of tank. I also have a 15 gallon softie tank, with 2 lps (a plate and lobo), my phosphate (last time I checked) was between .15 and .2. A softie tank (and most lps corals) thrive in nutrient rich water. If your corals are happy, then I really wouldn't change anything.

EDIT: Here is my 15 gallon phosphate high tank..

I would try to control with water changes rather than chemicals/additives in a system that small. That stuff can seriously strip phosphates fast, as you can tell.
