hey guys,

I have a IM FUSION 10 gal and in the market for the least expensive nano skimmer. I will be upgrading to a 45 gallon sometime in May. Which is why I need it to be affordable considering I will be purchasing a larger one for my new setup. I have added many more LPS, and SPS so feedings have gotten a bit more intense. Can anyone recommend a good skimmer that doesn't break the bank just for a few months? Thanks in advance ,

Aaron

Aaron.... when it comes to equipment, the rule of thumb is to get larger than your tank volume. I would suggest going with a tank rated for 90g since you're upgrading to a 40g soon.

I'd say don't buy one, plenty of smaller systems function just fine without a skimmer. Stay on top of water changes and such then just purchase one for your larger tank when you do upgrade.

That is what I will be doing and have been suggested to do. However there are a few you could use. The MAME or Reef Glass Nano Skimmers are small options you could consider. They incorporate an airstone and take up very little room in the second chamber. They fit if you are using a larger light bracket as well. There are also the Eshopps Nano skimmer and the IM Ghost Desktop skimmers.
