I have a 29 standard tank looking to add a sump for my reef tank I'm setting up. The tank sits on a stand with a cabinet but the space is limited, a standard 10g won't fit it's too wide. So does anyone have diy plans/ideas to build a small under 10g sump? Not really looking for a refugium just something to hide equipment

How about a cube tank, will it fit? I also have a standard 29g and stand that I have will only fit a 7.5 cube :(

Thought of cube tanks but you pay top dollar for them:/
Seen someone online use a rubber made tote with a plastic drawer but idk how well that will hold

Go get a 5 gal tank.

I had a 20gal high nano a while back and I could get a 10gal sump in but it had to be placed before the 20g went on the stand. I had to lower it in from the top. Have you tried that way yet?

No it's a custom stand tops on tight, haven't found an actual 5g tank yet thinking I might buy the glass if I can get it cheap, rubber made tote just seems too unreliable

Building one might be the way to go, but its gonna cost you for sure. Check with your LFS I'm sure they can get you the 5 gal tank. Buy me they are pretty readily available at any LFS and I've seen them at both Petco and Petsmart as well, usually for under $20

You would be surprised by the Tote though. if you can find one that would fit you would be good to go.
