I am either gonna go with a Fusion Pro 10 Gallon AIO Aquarium or Waterbox Cube 10.

What light would you recommend? for just some clown fish and softies? so confused lol

Personally I have a current usa orbit marine on my 20 gallon and love it. My softies grow really well under it and you can change the light intensities and create a daylight cycle.

What is your budget?

If you are going to add LPS or SPS to your tank I would recommend getting a better light like an AI Hydra 26. I went with the Orbit Marine IC mainly for budget reasons but I definitely would have gone with an AI if I could have.

I run the lights 8:30 am - 5 pm
Sunrise R-74 G-8 B-76
Daylight R-76 G-25 B-100 W-60
Sunset R-75 G-9 B-77
Moonlight R-0 G-0 B-3

Wow that helps alot...can you tell me the time durations for each cycle?

I plan to just do softies like zoas and maybe a mushrrom or two

I would go with an AI Prime 16HD for that size of tank, it’s got better spectrum, intensity, and shimmer, is more customizable and has more features and it’s roughly the same price (around $250 with the mounting arm, though you can usually find them used for around $150), it will also grow with you (if you upgrade to a larger tank down the road you can just add more of them). If budget is a concern, I would go with the aquaknight V2 (same light is rebranded by ReefBreeders and sold by BRS), it’s around $130.

If you do go with the AI Prime, there are tons of downloadable schedules, and it also has an easy setup mode that makes setting up a decent schedule a breeze and also has an acclimation mode that slowly acclimated your corals to the light. Overall it’s a great light.

For a 10g I would suggest an AI Prime. A 32 hydra is pretty big for a 10g. I had one on my 10 and now it’s on my 14. Doing LPS and softies.

Mushrooms are also soft corals and the time durations are preset. Sunrise and sunset happen for the first 30 and last 30 minutes of the overall timer you can set. Also I see a lot of AI Prime recommendations which is also a really solid light but if you are only growing softies the Orbit Marine will work well for $100 less. But if it is in the budget I definitely recommend the AI Prime or AI Hydra.

AI Prime 16HD. You’ll be able to keep practically anything if it’s on a water box 10. Happy to share my settings if you want to direct message me.

Have a brand new one available if you’re interested.
