Do you think this stand can hold up this 20 gallon peninsula tank? The measurements are right with no overhang, but worried about weight.
Thanks!

I’d recommend building one or checking out a store granted stores mark up their stand prices considerably high. PetSmart has a nice selection and was able to use a 25% off coupon for a transaction over $45 given out all of March and a 25% off coupon you get for playing the mobile game in the app. $150 stand came out to $75 and it looks really nice.

For what reason? You don’t think it could hold the weight? I would just build something but I would love to use this table since it’s already in my office lol

if it's SOLID wood it like it should be fine.. you could test it before had by putting some weights on it.. probably around 220lbs...

Just to be cautious about weight, if it’s wood I wouldn’t be concerned if it’s particle board is the only time I’d question it.

Wanted to add had something similar that my significant other suggested but was for books and what not and came home to see my 10 gallon had almost came crashing down, leg was caved. Was particle board though, which is why I’m always so cautious now.

So I stood on the stand and tried to move around and it’s solid. The stand is heavy by itself so I am confident it’ll hold a 20 gallon tank. I will throw some weights on it for a few nights and see how it does.

With that being said, I have 2 spots where I can put the new tank, see pictures below. One would be a peninsula tank and the other a standard rectangle tank.
