Nano tank suggestions

I’ve been wanting a nano tank for a while know and definitely know I want either a peninsula mini 15 or the 25. Is there much of a difference between what I can stock them with (corals and fish)? Will one be harder to care for than the other?

Well, the 25-gallons will be larger than the 15-gallon and has more service area but I don't think there will be much difference in the fish and coral selection.

Plenty big. Clowns produce a lot of waste but it’s the best Nano Fish in the trade. They do well in small tanks big tanks etc. Try to buy them as small as you can. They will grow. The biggest mistake I see on people intruding Clowns to a Nano is that they are big. Which increase that bio load quickly. Buy them smaller and cheaper. They’ll be fine in a 15.

Not sure how new you are either. I usually like captive bread. Ask the LFS what they feed and stare at the tanks for a while. Try to buy a pair. They will sex change automatically.

That will depend on what clownfish. We have a marron clown for about 20-years now, she is over 5" long.

Here’s a picture of my two little guys years ago in quarantine when I first got them (at the time I really struggled wielding a siphon and every water change was a mess! Haha) my female (the blacker ice is now a solid black with just a small orange belly and my plain ocellaris is a really pretty gradient orange.

I’d go for the small pair. $11 bucks each lol. Hopefully they feed new life spectrum. Lol. You can do two at a time and it increase the shot of them pairing faster.

Scratch that 75 gallon. Your okay. You can go with a bigger pair. Your good bro! I like to go smaller although. Designer clowns may not be out of the question as well. But cheaper is always better when starting a tank.

That and it will keep aggression down. If you put it one at a time, you risk the second being rejected or badly bullied by the first because they view the tank territory as theirs. Plus, a traumatic experience like being moved (then being scared together) helps them bond more quickly because they’re “in it together”... as bad as that sounds haha.

No pair them in that 15 gallon day 1. Sorry I got confused. Lol. Saw 15 gallon then your post on 75. Lol so you got the 75. For the 15 try to buy them small. Don’t buy big clowns. You want to buy them as a pair. Stare at the tanks awhile. Figure out which ones seem to pair and ask what type of food they feed.

Those guys are doing well in my 13.5. Did a pair in a 14 biocube as well. Buy them all same day but get them smaller.

That is a filefish, we purchased the fish to eat the aiptasia anemones. She (don't know if a male or female) is so sweet, my wife's favorite fish. A 75-gallon tank is a great size tank for just about any fish.
