What is everyone who has/ had a nanocube opinion on the bio balls and ceramic rings that come with the tank? I am thinking about getting a media basket, and putting in poly filter floss, seachem purigen, and chemi pure elite. But I'm afraid by removing the bio balls and ceramic rings that I would lose beneficial bacteria and will create problems later on.
Thanks

If it's going to be a reef tank you don't need to have chemi pure or Purigen. Just add the filter floss and deepening on the size of the nano tank add a skimmer and you'll be set. Purigen and chemi pure elite remove the elements corals need they will just slowly suck them all out and if not used right both products can do bad to the tank and don't take out the bio balls or the ceramic rings.
