I would like to acknowledge NARC members' contribution for making it possible for me to have a Nano in 90 entry this year. (It's actually a 20H tank instead of a Hex 5 due to an unfortunate incident that put a hole in the Hex 5.)
Last year I started a couple of other nano tanks as my first venture into saltwater and received a lot of guidance, equipment, and livestock from NARC members.
With the exception of some of the clean-up crew coming from reefcleaners.com and liveaquaria.com, all of the equipment, live rock, live sand, fish and coral in my entry came from NARC members' tanks. Everything was either free or very generously priced, and I have met many nice, knowledgeable people along the way.
Through that support, I've also been able to get my wife involved in the hobby, and although she's not very active posting on the forums, she is involved in the care of our tanks, and she is ready to start fragging and growing out corals. The Nano in 90 entry is actually a partnership -- she is doing the aquascaping and I'm doing the posting.
