Naso Tang Diagnosis

Woke up this morning and Naso is just lying on the bottom in quarantine. He went through a H2O2 dip @150 ppm for 30 minutes four days ago and prazi treatment two days ago. I did a fresh water dip and no flukes. Any ideas what it may have been as per pictures?

Were there any symptoms leading up to this? The skin discoloration could be bacterial or water quality. Is the fish still alive in the photo? That would rule out post mortem changes. Water is your ammonia level at?

The fish is already passed in the photo. He is lying in a pan of fresh water for a fluke test. No flukes. No ammonia in QT. He was swimming with head up and tail down yesterday.

I too suspect bacterial from the skin pigment ms and flukes after fish dead may not necessarily remain on the carcass
I believe jay is asking what the fish looked liked before death and any unusual signs such as red gills, heavy breathing, erratic swimming, etc.

Thanks vetteguy. Looking at the pics I do see the redness around certain areas. I didn't see any erratic swimming although he was gasping for air a the top a bit (probavbly from prazi treatment). I will need to aerate the water more next time I dose Prazi.

With prazi, it Dies reduce oxygen and also reduces their appetite
Next especially if there’s a concern with flukes, do a freshwater dip in lieu of prazi and look for flukes preferably using A clean-dark bucket
Diet is Alston importance especially with the surgeon grouping
