Naso Tang

Hello

I've been having this beautiful fish for 2 weeks with no sign of illness the only thing I noticed it kinda shy when feeding it doesn't feed while
other fishes are feeding until today when I saw her not doing so great with few tiny street spots and being on the bottom of the tank with no tang aggression at all.. then
passed away in few hrs.
Can someone help me identify what caused my best fish of all time passing away ?
Should I be worry about other fishes ?

This photo was taking right away after it died.

It's notoriously difficult to tell with a postmortem picture.

It could be any number of things:

1. An undiagnosed disease (I don't know what you mean by 'street spots' in your OP
2. A difficult/poor acclimation process (especially salinity)
3. It was a sick fish to begin with (i.e. a toxin)
4. Low oxygen in the tank, etc

What is important is what are the other inhabitants of the tank and how are they doing. etc

While hard to tell unless within 2 hours of death, some culprits are often velvet which can be hard to see with naked eye especially with naso already having a dusty appearance when healthy, flukes which will cause it to breath rapidly, flash, yawn and lose appetite and ich, often obvious. Many Naso tangs suffer internally but often thin when this is the case.

The querstion is:
Was fish eating 24hrs before discovery?
Rapid Breathing?
unusual swimming patterns?
hiding ?
Pale gray with white fingerprint spots ?
Normal or white poop ?

What foods were you feeding it ?

Light eating not too much
No rapid breathing just laying down when I discovered it
Yes unusual swimming patterns and hiding
3-4 very tiny white spots they look street spots to me
I feed Frozen food, Hikari Nyos and aquaforest pellets

The picture was taken few seconds after the fish passed out.

I doubt its low oxygen because the skimmer is working fine and I'm even using Co2 scrubber but who knows
the fish was fine for the past 2-3 weeks and I acclimated it very nice and slow even though it came from a tank that has very similar perimeters as mine. Other fishes and corals are doing fine thanks god.

Unfortunately, I dont see anything unusual in the photo. Sounds like the fish was becomming weak and it may have been internal. Pretty fish and sorry for your loss as i'd be devastated if mine perished.

I would carefully watch the other fish for any signs of disease - glad they are doing ok
