Nassarius or something more Nefarious?

Saw the trunk and pulled it from tank. It was crawling over my Astrea snail, but it didn’t attack it, just ran over it, lol. May have overreacted, looks like it might be a Nassarius snail, a good guy. Can anyone confirm? It’s currently in pergatory. Thanks!

The nassarius snails we want in our tanks don't climb on the rocks... I would guess yours is a predatory whelk

I keep all whelks and shady snails in my sump where they keep the dove and colonista snails in check. Gives pretty good shows too when I catch them devouring a little snail.
