Anyone know if the Carib sea Hawaiian black is too thick of a gravel for nassarius snails?

If you can find some 3/4 inch or larger, no problem. Mine that are under a half inch I see on top of the substrate I'd guess about 75-80 percent of the time. Could just be coincedence as I'm not home to look at the tank all day. They all come out of the substrate when I toss the reef roids in.

I have to move my tank and am setting up a temporary tank so we can redo our floors. The temp tank will be bare bottom. Do you think my Nassarius snails will be ok without sand? I've been thinking of having a couple tupperwares of the old sand in the temp tank to reseed my new tank, and to give my wrasses a bed...
