Nasty Algae ID please.

Kent tech m works great but I have heard of other magnesium supplements working as well. I'm not sure what exactly its doing but my best guess would be that the high magnesium inhibits photosynthesis. You need to get it to around 1800 and maintain it for about a week. Most if not all algae should be dead. But for the pictures you posted, that is cyano bacteria and you need to get your nutrients under control. In most cases cyano will grow close to its food source and chances are your live rock is the problem. Siphon out as much as you can and blow any detritus or bacterial turgor off, with either a turkey baster or small powerhead. This will get it into the water column and hopefully into the skimmer. Do this at least once a week and in time you will see a difference. If you've never done this befores don't be surprised at how much comes off.

If it is dinoflaggete, you would most likely have dead snails. It's highly toxic.
