nature's ocean water question...

you're entitled to your opinion.

Who starts a saltwater tank with a molly? I do. :D and lotsa others as well.

acclimating a $2 fish from FW to marine is much better then stressing a $10-30 marine only fish and losing it.

Damsel's are aggressive and territorial. Mollies are peaceful and will eat algae in the tank.

I do agree to forget the anemone. Much too hard to keep for beginners who may not have the correct lighting as well.

Well if you want to route, ammonia dosing is far better then getting a fish to cycle a tank. And a damsel is only 3.99. I rather spend 3.99 and throw the damsel in then waitinf few hours just to get the molly use to the salt level that the tank is going to run at

Today boyfriend and I attended reefapalooza. And I'm scratching my head more than ever now over this thread. So let me give you an update...
Stopped by the julian sprung booth there. And asked him basically what I posted here. And was shocked at his answer.
He said day care lady could use the pink fiji live sand, the bulk reef supply dry fiji rock and his water to start up the breeder....he said the tank would be getting the needed benificial bacteria from his water and the bacteria in the Carib sea live sand. And the fiji rock wouldn't cause tank to cycle. I did stress the fact the fiji rock was totally dry and was bought from bulk reef supply.
So now hearing this straight from the horses mouth I'm totally scratching my head.
I'm soooo confused now...heheheh
Please chime in....and thanks in advance
