Need 75 Gallon Reef Stocking Advice!

Grandfather is setting up a 75 gallon reef with primarily soft corals and a few Duncans/Candy Canes. As for fish/inverts, he doesn't really want anything aggressive/ overly expensive. I've made him a list, seperated by CUC-Fish. I've also ordered the fish in possible order of addition, with the damsel and dottyback last. I've also done the same with the CUC list. Would like some suggestions/advice if this is an OK list! Thanks!

1x Royal Gramma
1x Yellow Watchman Goby
1x Mandarin Goby
1x Clown Goby
1x Lawnmower Blenny
1x Azure Damsel

3x Peppermint Shrimp
10x Hermit Crabs

It looks ok… however be careful with all those different types of gobies.

Orchid Dottyback I would indeed go last with, not sure if it would bully the Gramma or not... lots of rock for these fish to hide in will be important imo. As for CUC, think about a brittle or serpant star. Fairly inexpensive, hardy and great for getting into places under the rocks to clean it up.

I wouldn't get 2 emerald crabs in a new tank of sorts. They are good at eating bubble algea ect but can starve without an established tank and food source. If you end up having bad hair algea and bubble algea you can always get an emerald to eat it up. I wouldn't get a dotty back at all, aggressive bullies imo... specially against slower tank mates like goby.

Imo I'd suggest maybe looking at reef safe wrasse as a dottyback alternative... also blue green chromi or even a tomini tang. Gl!

Another option would be a dwarf angel since they typically only nip at LPS. Some of them are a bit pricey, but the coral beauty is pretty and fairly inexpensive.
I agree a wrasse is a good addition. I’d recommend the yellow coris wrasse, it’s just about the brightest yellow fish available.
