So I currently I am having issues with my chemistry and can’t seem to figure out what’s going on.
I left to Colombia during the first week of July. My system is monitored by apex figured I would be safe. Came back and my tank was completely out of wack. Alkalinity went up to 13.3 phosphate went from .11 all the way up to .53 weeks later. My tank is mostly sps and because of all this most of my corals are rtn or completely bleached. My tank has always been on a CaRX but during my time away I actually turned it off. I have since done couple of water changes. Now I am still dealing with phosphate assuming because of the die off. But. My alkalinity keep creeping up. Got it down to 9( haven’t dosed anything) but it currently going up to 10. I am lost where this alkalinity is coming from. I’m trying to not get frustrated and shutting down my tank. Unsure what I should be doing.
The corals I have now are doing better with poly extension but a few are still seem to be slowly stn
