Need a critter ID ASAP! :)

I apologize in advance for the terrible picture quality, but this guy is pretty far back in the tank in the dark. I found him this morning and have no idea what it is or if it’s harmful.
I can say it is like a mussel, and it has a hinge. It has about a half inch feeder-like thingy coming out the pointy end. It’s like it is open just a bit and climbing up the glass.
Anyone have any ideas?

If it is one then they are great filter feeders. So a keeper for sure!
