This tang had been hiding for a week while in QT. Recently it is staying out against the glass. Been in QT for a few weeks, but definitely getting worse. It isn't getting bullied, in fact it was the bully when they all went in to QT.

Any suggestions?

That fish has a normal looking belly with a very thin body with the spine showing -- I have to agree with humble, this suggests internal parasites and a subsequent bacterial infection.

I have not treated yet. Was only observing so far. there are 4 others in QT with him, but all seem healthy and active. Should I treat all based on the above information?

If none of the others are showing signs of infection, this means their immune system is probably capable of keeping the infection at bay. So it would be ideal to isolate the YT to his own QT and treat with antibiotics in there. Otherwise, I would treat them all for his sake.

Regardless of which route you take, I would treat all fish for parasites & worms in order to be prudent.

That's a pretty nasty looking infection. I agree with swift treatment of that and getting everybody treated for parasites. Best of luck getting him better!

So..... dosed prazipro last night and there's fish poop everywhere in my qt tank tonight. That a normal reaction?

Bahahaha!!! it's true. however, I'm in awe of the amount of poo in this specific incident.

You would be shocked by the amount of poo just a couple fish can produce in 24 hours.
