Black blob on torch that looks like it has a mouth at the top (black sponge?)

white stalk looking thing (sponge?) on torch

what are these and do i need to get rid of them and how? thanks fellow reefers!

The first one looks like the sweeper tentacles my euphyllia sometimes put out when they're ticked/at war with another coral/newly introduced. The second one does look like black sponge especially if it doesn't move or you see weird little tube protrusions occasionally (though even if you don't it's still probably a sponge)
