Right now i have a 30g tank. As for my cleanup crew. I have 4 scarlet hermit crabs, 1 blood fire shrimp , and 1 Astraea snail. I want a sand sifter but i dont know what i need exactly. Haallpp

Maybe some Narcissus snails. They are good at stirring up the sand. A couple more Astraea's. I like them for cleaning my rock. And some small blue leg hermits.

Are you having a specific issue that you are trying to get under control?

Well i feel like the water flow isnt being distributed around the tank. So I bought like 4 different powerheads and I just keep thinking it isn't strong enough so I keep upgrading. Recently just ordered another power head with a 550gph. But other than that I want my sand to be nice and clean. Not really concerned about anything because nothing is growing yet. I have a question about the Astraea's, are they only on rocks? So far I only see it come out when the lights are off and I havn't seen it on the sand ever since I bought it. But ill consider serpent star.

Most snails don't actually clean the sand IMHO. I don't think their scraper toungue works well on sand particles. Hermits do however. Snails are great for rock and glass cleaning.

A sand shifting starfish does a great job at keeping your sandbed "white", or a elephant conch. Both of mine dose great at turning my sand.

Just did a little reading on the sand sifting starfish, they said it could possibly eat your shrimp, smaller snails and such. I don't want my little snails disappearing day by day haha. any other recommendations?

I bought 2 narcissus and 3 Astraea snails yesterday. I was told they would help my tank out a lot. I also have 4 Scarlet hermit crabs.
