Blasto.jpg

Not sure what it is excatly? Small blasto or acan maybe? Its dark red on the out side with green in the middle and has little feeder tentacles and is on a small stalk. Looks like its been broke off a larger colony and glued to a frag plug. I paid $20 for it from the lfs some one traded it in. I have saw pics of a larger coloney of something similar before but not sure what it was. If identified please tell me how to take care of it. Right now is on the sand bed under 500w of 15k MH and low flow.

Cant really tell with the pic are you able to put up a little better pic?

I can take a better pic tonight when my MH lights come on only the actinic t5s are on now and i used the flash on my phone to get that pic. if it is the blasto merletti how fast do they grow and was $20 a decent price?

It's a blastomussa merletti. :) Very cool corals but they can be really slow growers.

Ok thanks all for the ID. I didnt get home in time to get a new pic tonight but will try to tomorrow. I did do a little looking around on the web and im sure thats what it is. I did move it out of the middle of the open sand bed to a spot of cover with less light, bc I had read too much light would kill it. Any other info on this coral would be helpfull.
