So I have discovered lately that I have a infestation of monti eating nudibranches. Unfortunate and irritaing but I would rather have them than acro eating flatworms I guess. Anyway I have all my montis on a rack and im dipping them every few days but I have a few on a rock that I cant get off. My thought here is to set my 20L back up bare bottom with minimal equipment to quarantine my montis and dip them and keep my main display monti free for like 6-9 months. Couple questions...

1 - What all do I need to have on my 20L to maintain it for only the montis to be in?

2 - Is this the best way to deal with this?

I would use a tie in unless you r trying to build another system to sustain. Have the drain run into a sock for protection. If you are qt and dipping i think this should be an okay work. Unless u have the means to set up an entirely different system for them.

If the amount on the rock is un-substantial. Cover it in puddy n take it out. A small frag on the rock will only prolong anything and not worth your time if you have a saved frag to start back from

If you don't plan to feed the tank I would think it would be fine with just water changes. I think I would want to cycle the tank with some live rock or media seeded from display.

I do have the means to do that but I think you are right if I tie in and use filter socks (which I do anyway) It should keep the nudis seperate from each system. I Have broke off frags of all my montis. I figure the ones that are on the rocks will die then the nudis will starve out after 6 months or so I am hioping.
