Morning Update:

Made it through the night. The color has changed. Now more of a bluish grey, think moldy bread. I got a close look this morning and i am a little worried that it could be moving onto his lips. It is currently holding its mouth slightly opened. I can see the color on the bottom lip, but it might be just the color showing through from the chin. No treatments planned for today.

Might look better today. Some of the blue beard has fallen off, but you can see an open wound. Heating water for a 25% change now and then a fresh round of antibiotics. Not rating today, but does seems to have more energy. Fingers crossed.

Update:

The infection is getting better, now looks like a big scab. I treated with metro + Kanaplex + furan2 last night after a water change no treatments are planned for today. His mouth is messed up, currently holding it open with bottom lip protruding. He is interested in food, will try to bite a pellet, but spits it back out.

I picked up adult brine at the lfs today, but it would not eat. It is a very small fish, almost looked scared of the brine. They may have been too big, so i am hatching some baby brine overnight. Maybe it will make a difference.

Not good. His whole jaw now seems to be covered in a big blue scab. Definitely has made the turn over the lower lip and into the mouth and he is not eating. This is weird. Hard to get a pic, but if you zoom in you can see it.
