So I had an aqualifter pump that finally gave out I was using for my ATO. Then I purchased a small eheim, but it just isn't the right fit.

So now I am hunting an ATO pump.

Currently I have my eheim set to come on via my Apex and put 1 gallon of water into my sump during the middle of the day. I'd like to do something similar but with a pump that is more reliable than the small eheim. (its already losing head strength, don't think it was made for the off and on daily)

Options?

MJ1200 powerhead? PMUP? Jebao DC1200? Something else?

Or should I just use a BRS dosing pump or maybe the DOS dosing pump?

thx

What size tank/water volume, including sump? MJ would be okay.

I'd stick with the Tom's Aqualifter and have a rebuild kit on hand for when it craps out. I get 8 - 9 years out of them before I need to rebuild. BRS sells the rebuild kit for 5 bucks.

I currently have a jebao pump in my ATO container running now for six years. Couldn't tell you what model it is. It came from a water fall we had and don't use. Been tough as nails and has never let me down.

@Flippers4pups this is what I was thinking. The Tunze looks nice, but I need it wired into an outlet. Just wondering how a Sicce, Jabao or similar would hold up with the off an on once a day.
