I need a new refractometer I broke mine this morings any brand over the other I was looking at the dd brand its supposedly made for seawater

Redsea refractor made for saltwater works great.

Get the one brs has on sale with calibration fluid. Normally 40 on sale for 25. It's ats

I think it's made alittle better now. The one my friend has is light in weight. Mine is heavier. I've left mine at his house and that's how I figured which one was mine. The part that I don't like about them is they aren't sealed. I dropped mine in water and it filled up so yea I guess they aren't all that good

This is the one I use. BRS has it on sale for $83 regular $120. I will never use anything else it's awesome!

+1 on Jaguars suggestion...I was just getting ready to suggest the Milwaukee.

I've been using mine for five months and I have yet found the need to calibrate. I check it about every other weekend when mixing water with two different test solutions. I may just be lucky thus far, but it's always been dead on the test solutions. And yes, it's very easy to use.

I use the Milwaukee myself. Excellent refractometer. Its big though. Larger than I expected. Very accurate.
