Looking for suggestions on a new skimmer. Looking for around $250. Was thinking the reef octopus 150sss. Any other suggestions or would that be a good choice?

Will be for a deep blue 57 edge.

I just dropped a RO 202-s in my sump yesterday. In my thread asking for opinions its was unanimous for RO.
My initial thoughts were the build quality is outstanding. Setup was simple and fine tuning could not be easier.

Awesome, thanks! Definitely going to go with RO. Does anyone know if there are any real performance differences between the space saving and regular internal models?

Also - will the 150 space saver (BRS recommends it for 110 medium stocked) way too overkill for a 30 cube I have running right now? I just downgraded to that because I loved the dimensions of it but will be setting up my 57 in a few months. I have a junky coralife running now that hardly does anything but overflow every other day so will replace it until setting up the new one.

My lifereef SV24 is rated for a 150-250 gal tank and I have it on my 30gal lol Does what I bought it for so I don't think you will have a problem with it being oversized:)

Don't worry about oversized I also use a Lifereef rated at 250 gallons on a 55 If I had room I would use the same skimmer on my new build but I needed something a little smaller so I am going to try a Deltec

I have a vertex omega, somatic, reef octopus, and an aquamaxx. Out of all of them the aquamaxx performs the best with the least hassel. Just my personal experience. The Vertex is without a doubt the highest quality and nicest! All suggestions above are good skimmers as well!

I just got a Simplicity240. Worked great basically right out of the box.

I just put in the new one (150 space saver) and noticed there are tons of micro bubbles coming from underneath the skimmer into the rest of the sump. Is that normal?

Coming from underneath the black base.
