Tried looking through the forum but no real answers to my question. I have a RODI and mixing station in my garage and need a recommendation on a pump to pump both RODI and saltwater to my tank approx 75 ft away. I was using a small transfer pump and a garden hose but recently discovered it may be adding unwanted metals to the tank.
I want to hear what you all recommend or are using. I would like to use 1/2 pvc if possible from the tanks —> pump —> garden hose —> Display tank. as that’s how it’s currently setup but willing and open to hearing other ideas.
Please recommend a pump budget friendly is even better lol
Thanks in advance

I use a 1/3 hp pump from Harbor Freight. Works great.
Just be sure to remove it from either tyoer of water container after each use as the can rust otherwise

If the pump is only a transfer pump, I'd look into one of the bigger mag pumps.
Maybe a 12 or 18.
A few years ago I needed to transfer a bunch of water around so I got a drinking water safe hose and cut the metal fittings off of it and used plastic fittings.

No one else with a recommendation?

@ndrwater how is it holding up? Any signs of rust?
Holding up well. Actually on my 2nd one in 5 years. The original was just losing it's "oomph" and was showing signs of rust so I swapped it out.
I pull the pump out if the water after using it as to reduce the corrosion salt water will eventually cause.
For the price of the pump, this has been a great solution for me. I would recommend it. I would also recommend not leaving the pump in the water ling term..

Eheim CompactON range. AC pump, pretty much bulletproof. 1/2” piping is a bit skinny for me, will make the pump work harder, 1” is going to give you more longevity.
