Need a recommendation for an auto feeder

Hey folks, I'm looking for recommendations for a reliable auto feeder. My tank is a 60g cube with 7 fish, a couple shrimps, and a sally lightfoot crab. I don't have any automated controllers like an APEX, just controllers for my heaters and ATO. The food that needs to go in it are small pellets. I need something that's basic and reliable for a couple feedings per day while I'm on vacation for 7 days. Price is not a concern, I'm focused 100% on reliability.

This is what I have used and is the most common non-automated feeder and they have been a staple for years. Make sure that you get it early enough that you have time to dial it in before you leave.

I have used both the neptune and intelli-feed by lifeguard auto feeders. They are the same thing except for the Neptune connects to apex and allows you to feed unlimited times, where I believe the intelli feed only allows 4 times a day or so. Both have been working great for me and are probably most reliable you can get. However if you want to save your money I’ve also used this zacro one on amazon (link below).It’s only twenty bucks and I’ve been using it on a tank for a wile with no problems either. They all essentially do the same thing and I don’t know if I’d consider one all that more reliable than another but if you don’t have an apex and don’t mind spending 60$ the intelli feeder is probably your best bet

Here is the one we use when we go on vacation and we have never had a problem with it. Just be sure to test the program you set and make sure it’s not over-feeding.

I got one last summer and was testing it out before my vacation with pellets, but I could not dial it in... It was either too much coming out or none at all. So I ended up using flake food and came back from a 4 day vacation to a massive algae bloom.

I have used a wide variety of sizes of pellets with the Eheim. Yes, it takes time to get it dialed in. I usually set it up on a table and keep push the button to get it to advance until I get it where I want it and then move it to the tank. Additionally, with stuff like that I try to take a quick picture for reference in case it gets bumped or changed.

I use Hikari small pellets both the S and algae pellets.

You’ll be happy with the eheim once you get the hang of programming it. Since I travel so much, I let it feed my fish all the time, 3 times per day, with various pellet food. I then supplement with nori and frozen when I’m home.

Have you seen the superfeeder? Its often overlooked since from what I can tell they only sell direct from their site, its a bit pricey but I've heard good things, may get one myself. Just google superfeeder and you'll find it.
